CREAM CHEESE BUTTERCREAM
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature
1/2 cup cream cheese, room temperature
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 cup powdered sugar
1. Beat the butter, cream cheese, and vanilla with a handmixer.
2. Add powdered sugar and beat until smooth.
3. Fill the french macarons with a piping bag or with a spoon and sandwich together.
4. Store cookies in the fridge.
Tip: The cookies improve with taste and texture the longer the cookies sit in the fridge.
